The lower section of a 17th/18th century band sampler, being the needlepoint lace bands, four, on linen, one band partly unfinished and thus illustrating the process, no upper bands of embroidery present, the worked section approx. 17 cm by 10 cm, giving approx. 23 cm above for further work, both top and bottom edges finished; together with a much later panel of linen with simple lines of stitching; a German sample book showing darning; a German leaflet with crochet and other designs; and a Frenc “Au Bon Marche” booklet containing 40 pages of cross stitch patterns (5) (Shipping category D)
