A very long 19th century linen panel formed from multiple sections showing sewing techniques, English or Northern European, incorporating darning, patching, tape lace, cutwork, drawn thread work, fringing, filet, knitting, and many other useful skills, mainly white work but with some blue thread, approx. 224 cm by 25 cm; together with a small alpha/numeric sampler incorporating rows of different decorative stitches, an unfinished cotton stitch sampler panel; a European linen panel edged and inserted with bobbin lace in beige; a small panel with examples of stitches and drawn thread, and a wide European linen hanging showing sewing techniques and embroidery, initialed AA, approx. 64 cm by 46 cm (6) (Shipping category D)
