£48
Two early 20th century panne velvet gowns, the first deep ginger, lined in a paler chiffon, with tie to the neck, front covered buttons to the hem, long sleeves to buttoned cuffs, short bust seams, otherwise without, size approx. 12/14; together with another long panne velvet gown, black, with shaped and ruched collar, generous skirt, long sleeves very full from the elbow, and cross-over front bodice reaching a front (but not back) waist seam, size approx. 14/16, very loose fitting (2) (Shipping category D)
The first dress is missing two small and one large button, and has signs of strain where perhaps a later owner was a little too large, especially noted where the front buttons fasten. Note marking over the left bust panel. The black dress has some light marking to the velvet and indications that press-studs have been used to fasten the cross-over panel
