Four brisé fans c 1820’s: the first a triple image example in pale horn with pointed tips, twenty-one inner sticks and two guards, the recto with central painted cartouche, of a gardener with rake outside in the field, two inner sticks painted with cherubs atop a stone plinth garlanded with roses, the verso with two more cherubs and a scene of a barn and young lady near water, the third scene similar but with an additional building, barrel head inset with a turquoise stone, contained in a card fan tube of the period, guard approx. 16 cm: together with a fan of dark horn, wedge sticks, barrel head, pierced head, 14 inner sticks, and two guards, a cartouche panel and vignettes painted with flowers, contained in a red card period fan tube; guard approx.15.5 cm; a mid-brown wood brisé fan, carved and pointed sticks, slightly shaped, 22 inner sticks, and another similar but with different design, with 25 sticks, contained in a red period fan tube, guard approx. 17.5 cm ( 4 + 4 tubes) (Shipping category C)

Fan 2 lacks sticks, and lacks some of the inner carving. Fan 3 probably lacks one or 3. The final fan has a split at the top near the ribbon, a stick next to a guard. The tubes are sound but a little worn
