A North American Indian feather fixed fan, 19th century, applied with a small bird, the shaped handle of birchbark embroidered in moose hair, dyed with several colours, each side slightly different but showing figures smoking a traditional pipe, overall height approx. 32cm, together with a pair of very large fixed fans, America Indian, ( or African but see below), feathers mounted on leather, both with designs within the leather panels, the centre shapes differing, the elongated example having the addition of 4 rings at the lower section, one of which holds 2 additional feathers, and is marked Oglala Sioux, thus a native tribe many of whom live in the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dacota, the eight largest native Indian reservation in the USA (3) (Shipping category D)
