An antique Chinese embroidered silk jacket. Ru, closure to the right, the body of the Ru embroidered throughout in coloured silks with butterflies and flowers, applied with a cream silk neck and front panel embroidered with tiny flowers, five gold embossed buttons, the inside neck panel black, wide sleeves with good sleeve bands in cream embroidered in silks and gold metal threads with butterflies, flowers, foliage and an urn, with the addition of a band of embroidery each side, in blue white and gold metal threads, the jacket lined in red cotton (Shipping category C)
The black neck panel needs replacement being very split. The narrow bands on the sleeves have areas of gold thread in need of re-couching. The jacket is otherwise strong and firm with good colour.
