AN 18TH CENTURY STYLE OAK WINGED CHAIR, the back carved with a panel of interlocking foliate filled arches and guilloche above an indented panel, narrow seat, on side panels
Top rail is patchy in colour as if a dark stain has worn. Crack to top right hand corner of the top panel, approx. 6cm long. Three vertical boards to the back have shrunk and moved.
The seat has a section at the front, the joint is slightly loose. The seat surface has lifted in one area as if by damp.
The board attached to legs at the back is later. Left wing has a crack running vertically near front edge. Right wing has been filled where a crack has formed from edge to seat.
