A small early 19th century needlework sampler, worked in dark green thread on fine linen, dated 1838, June 17th, Mary Chell Coleshill, with religious verse and vases of flowers, a row of different crowns with an initial beneath showing the status of the wearer, (K = King, E = Earl etc.), with narrow border, framed and glazed, laid against green velvet.
