SCHOOL OF THOMPSON OF KILBURN, A set of six oak dining chairs, c.1940s, having an ogee arched top rail and tie rail, leather woven seat, on square chamfered framing comprising pair of carvers and four singles.
Footnote: Passed down through the family, the vendor recalls this set of chairs as being part of the furnishings at his grandparents cottage in Buckden, Wharfedale which he visited as a child. The chairs are believed to have been made by a member of the Thompson workshop.
